So how did it start? Having just moved house (back in 2004), we were in need of some great furniture to furnish our new home. We lost days and days trawling around the local (and not so local) furniture shops trying to buy a new TV cabinet and coffee table - nothing too fancy or gimmicky, but just good solid wooden pieces at a decent price. After eventually finding furniture that suited us we thought there must be a better way to make the process quicker and far more hassle free. So four years later, using our online and retail expertise, The Wooden Furniture Store was born. It turned out there were a lot of you out there who liked what we were doing and so we’ve been adding new ranges every year and are continuing on our quest - to make everyone #Houseproud.

As soon as your order is placed, there's a fantastic team of people behind the scenes that leap into action. From the warehouse staff to logistics planning and delivery, these dedicated people will make sure your order is perfectly delivered, when you want it.
All our products are stored at the state of the art warehouse in Oxford, and once your order has been placed, the team will start by planning the optimal delivery route to get your item to you as soon as possible.
As soon as that is done, they'll be in touch by phone or text to let you know the proposed delivery date. Once you confirm and accept the delivery slot, the warehouse team will locate your item from the thousands of products carefully stored at the warehouse, and load onto the appropriate delivery vehicle. Then, the delivery driver will speed their way to you at the allotted time, carefully unload the item and deliver it into your home, safely and with care and consideration.
