Ensure the bedroom and bathroom that your guests will be using is clean.  First, tackle the surfaces, wiping everything with a cloth and then do a quick vacuum around the room to spruce it up.  Wipe down any mirrors and run a mop or over tiled floors.  Finally, open the windows and air the room for an hour.

A comfy bed is an essential ingredient for a good night’s sleep - nobody wants sleep-deprived guests come Christmas morning!  Everyone loves that fresh sheet feeling, so give your guests a treat with some new clean, crisp bed linen.  Opt for a plain snowy white or neutral set and dress the bed with some colourful cushions to add interest.  Don’t forget to include a soft knitted throw or faux fur for added coziness.

A little bit of pampering

Don’t forget the essentials too – a spare toothbrush and some cotton pads never go amiss.
